Dirty Librarian Chains

Glacier Brooch

Eight vintage beads in shades of hematite, gold and dark bronze surround a faceted antique chandelier crystal.  This four inch long pin brooch can be also be worn as a charm on a guitar strap. As featured in Nylon Magazine.

Beads are from the 1970′s and were rescued from a closed US jewelry factory.

All vintage components are carefully hand selected and cleaned before they are transformed into Dirty Librarian Chains.

Brooches are packaged in a special DLC jewelry box and are displayed on a printed book card. Sheets of vintage dictionary pages protect the jewelry during transit. An authenticity card is also included.  All jewelry is made by hand in our Brooklyn studio and usually ships within 2-3 business days.

Current Collection

Welcome

Dirty Librarian Chains cares for our planet. The main goal that motivates designer, Susan Domelsmith, is to create beautiful statement jewelry without any additional waste through manufacturing or plating. Every piece in her collection is at least 80% carefully cleaned and inspected vintage materials. We also love the new one-of-a-kind story that is created through the combined histories of all of the distinct components within each DLC product. Please contact us with any questions about current styles or custom pieces, or if you would like help picking out a gift for a friend.
