Dirty Librarian Chains

Crystalline Necklace

As seen on Elle.com and as worn by Michelle Trachtenberg on Gossip Girl.

Mixed metal chains are encircled by free moving vintage silver tube beads and  accented by gold drops.  A powdery white acrylic 1970’s triangular pendant sits atop the trio of chains and adds an ethereal quality to this statement necklace.  This piece closes with a vintage fold over clasp and is 21 inches long.

Major components for this piece are vintage pieces that were rescued from shuttered jewelry factories in the North East United States.

All vintage components are carefully hand selected and cleaned before they are transformed into Dirty Librarian Chains.

Necklaces are packaged in a special DLC jewelry box and are secured onto a printed book card. Sheets of vintage dictionary pages protect the jewelry during transit. An authenticity card is also included.  All DLC jewelry is made by hand in our Brooklyn studio and usually ships within 2-3 business days.

Current Collection

Welcome

Dirty Librarian Chains cares for our planet. The main goal that motivates designer, Susan Domelsmith, is to create beautiful statement jewelry without any additional waste through manufacturing or plating. Every piece in her collection is at least 80% carefully cleaned and inspected vintage materials. We also love the new one-of-a-kind story that is created through the combined histories of all of the distinct components within each DLC product. Please contact us with any questions about current styles or custom pieces, or if you would like help picking out a gift for a friend.
